Tautphaus Park

Tautphaus park is a great place to visit in the snowy weeks in Idaho Falls. There is an outdoor ice skating rink in the parkboundaries, thick trees for a peaceful cross-country skiing workout, indoor ice rink, and plenty of peace for all to enjoy.

Middle Power Plant in Idaho Falls

This photo was taken while standing on the new bridge heading out towards the I-15. Looking North towards the Idaho Falls Tower. You can access this area (left of the river in the below photo) by heading out to the Monroc area. Just turn left on 17th street right after the Pancheri bridge. There's a great place to take kids and goof off in the waterfalls that not to many people know about. There are a few miles of trails down there, hit them now as here in a year or two, this will probably be all developed land. We've fished there and took the kids down there for years, you can only hear the waterfalls, no traffic, sirens, or anything but the wind and water.

Tautphaus Park Outdoor Ice Skating Rink

Located to the North of the Zoo, within Tautphaus Park in Idaho Falls. Good looking ice for all to use and you'll see plenty of kids out on the ice during the weekend. Tautphaus Park also has a nice indoor ice skating rink located on the other side of the Idaho Falls Zoo. There is a discussion topic at IdahoFallz regarding free ice skating rinks in Idaho Falls.
